The Dragonfly Hope Foundation was established in memory of
Andrea Rebecca Jensen Hall 12 Nov 1982 - 28 Sep 2011
Andrea held a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, at the time of her death she was working as a PSR in the Twin Falls County School District (Idaho). Andrea was married and was a mother to two beautiful children. She was passionate about her work as a social worker and wanted so desperately to change these kids, and others lives overnight and make their world better for them.
She sacrificed so much of her time and her talents in helping others constantly, and in doing so, neglected to help herself foremost. Suffering from a severe stress anxiety disorder, a perfectionism personality, and sadly enough, a genetic predisposition to mental illness. Andrea choose to end her own life by suicide, something that she would not even be able to comprehend, if she were in a healthier state of mind at the time of her death.
The purpose of this foundation is to continue the work she loved and was so passionate about, helping others to help themselves. Our goal is exactly what Andrea's goal was, and it was one of her favorite quotes as well;
"Be the one who nurtures and builds. Be the one who has an understanding and a forgiving heart, one who looks for the best in people. Leave people better than you found them." - Marvin J. Ashton
